The
Supreme Council of Antiquities
AERA's mission in Egypt owes a debt of gratitude to the strong support
and friendship of many talented professionals at the Supreme Council of
Antiquities. The SCA is charged by Egypt's Ministry of Culture with the exploration,
protection, and conservation of some of the world's most treasured historical
objects and sites. All archaeological work in Egypt is carried out under the auspices, and in close collaboration with, the Supreme Council of Antiquities. We wish to extend our thanks to the

2005 Field School
The Giza Field School would not have been possible without Dr. Zahi Hawass'
enthusiastic support.

for his keen interest in the field school, including his on-site visits and lectures.
