Volunteering in Egypt

Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities is strict about who may participate in excavations and we are generally limited to accepting applications from professional archaeologists and specialists. All participants in excavations must have specific professional skills and pass a security check.

If you have no professional credentials in archaeology, there are still opportunities to volunteer around the world. Search the online Archaeological Fieldwork Opportunities Bulletin hosted by the Archaeological Institute of America.

We would love to hear from you. We do read all of our e-mail, but our staff is small and we cannot reply directly.
